Space forecasts

We use satellite orbital elements (GP data) from CelesTrak to predict where each satellite will be and whether it could view the study area at a suitable angle. We compare these viewing opportunities with NOAA GFS weather forecasts for cloud cover and calculate the Sun's position to identify times with enough daylight and cloud cover below the configured limit.

The maps combine potential collection opportunities across the satellites in each constellation. Actual collection depends on satellite availability, sensor capabilities and operator tasking. Open a map for the full-resolution forecast. All times are UTC.
